he's awake!

dad woke up today!

his memory is short-term, but we have been answering all his questions and he is very calm.

he's been asking for his sister and cried tears of joy upon hearing her stem cells have engrafted and his white cell count has more than doubled.

with the breathing tube, we are lip-reading and he is trying to point at letters to communicate.

he will be extubated tomorrow morning! i'll keep you posted.

Great news! Let's hope this is the final setback before this takes hold for good and is a success!

He's still on our official prayer roll and will remain so until he is finally cured!

Thanks, Nicole, for keeping us updated!

Nicole,
Thanks for the updates. We've been hearing a lot through the family, but it's nice to hear exactly how he's doing from you. We are still praying and thinking about all of you, and we hope he makes a quick and full recovery soon.
We love you guys.

I prayed all night last night, and the family (even the littles) fasted for him today.
I am so thankful to hear some good news.
Still praying.
Love you guys!

Fantastic news on the stem cells engrafting and those WBC's going to work!

The football watching is odd....maybe when Vicki's cells "take" even more he'll find a new interest in flower arranging. ;) (Sorry, just trying to give you a smile!)

Love you guys!
